Larry and Vivian Kingsbury

Larry and Vivian Kingsbury, Centralia, celebrated their 60th year of marriage Nov. 27.

Larry and Vivian met in the seventh grade in Casa Grande, Arizona. They became engaged during high school and married soon after, on Nov. 27, 1954.

Vivian worked in various offices and Larry painted cars for the local Chevrolet dealership until he entered the Air Force. He was stationed in many places across the United States, including the Pentagon, and served overseas in Japan, Turkey and Thailand.

They had four children, two girls and two boys: Lisa, Karla and twins Dean and Dane.

Larry retired after 23 years in the Air Force and the Kingsburys moved to Astoria, Oregon, then Ferndale, Marysville, Chehalis, and finally Centralia.

Larry was a computer repair specialist for Burroughs and then Unisys Corporations. Vivian became a corrections officer in Snohomish County and worked at the jail and work release, until she retired and they moved to Chehalis.
