The owners of the former Chehalis Wells Fargo in downtown Chehalis, which closed in 2021, had the branch’s drive-thru demolished on Monday, April 29.

According to Experience Chehalis Executive Director Annalee Tobey, who works closely with many downtown Chehalis business and property owners, the owners are “clearing the space to make way but don’t have immediate plans.”

While the old Wells Fargo building was located at 473 N. Market Blvd., the drive-thru was located behind it, across from Northwest Pacific Avenue at its intersection with Northwest Chehalis Avenue.

“Whatever it serves in the future, it won’t be a bank drive-thru,” Tobey said.

The property is owned by the Chehalis-based McCallum Prestige Investments Worldwide, LLC.

“They’re just kind of cleaning up their spaces, They did the same with a parking lot that they own up on Boitsfort (Street) as well,” Tobey said. “They re-striped it and cleaned it all up, added new lighting.”

Before becoming Wells Fargo, the drive-thru served First Interstate Bank.
